Temporary - 2 years, Full Time 35 hours, 5 days/week $80,419-$88,118 + Super
JOB DESCRIPTION
Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will support the production and delivery of urban design projects across the Liverpool Local Government Area.
You will play a key role in developing innovative, people-focused design solutions that enhance public spaces and contribute to a vibrant, sustainable city. In this role, you will:
- Contribute to design discussions within the City Design and Public Domain team, including participation in design critique sessions, optioneering and cross-Council collaboration
- Support the team in delivering design outcomes for Liverpool
- Prepare urban design plans, sections and detailed design documentation
- Produce high-quality graphic presentations and renderings to communicate design concepts
- Develop analysis diagrams, sections and detailed design outputs for urban design projects
- Prepare reports and presentation materials for a range of audiences including the community, Councillors and internal stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of grant submissions for City Design and Public Domain initiatives
- Undertake other duties as required by the Coordinator City Design & Public Domain and/or Manager Infrastructure Planning
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have the following:
- Currently studying or recently completed a tertiary qualification in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Architecture or a related discipline
- Experience (through university or in a professional setting) contributing to design projects such as urban design, landscape architecture or architecture projects
- Proven ability to produce high-quality design outputs including diagrams, plans, sections and 3D visualisation
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Well-developed communication skills, including written, verbal and graphic presentation
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Experience in desktop publishing for reports, presentations and other documentation
- Understanding of Work Health and Safety practices, Equal Employment Opportunity principles, ethical practice and multicultural diversity

Salary within the above-specified range, will be dependent on the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
