The Opportunity:
As Coordinator Community Asset Management, you will lead a team of Community Asset Engineers
and Community & Recreation Planners to deliver strategic planning and asset management services
across Council's community facilities, infrastructure and services.
In this role, you will lead the development of long-term asset management, community and recreation
planning strategies, provide expert advice on community infrastructure and future service needs, and
use evidence-based planning to ensure our community facilities, recreation assets and services
continue to meet the needs of our growing city.
Working collaboratively across Council and with community stakeholders, you will help deliver master
plans, infrastructure programs, strategies and funding opportunities that create and provide
accessible, sustainable and high-quality community spaces and services.
About you:
To be successful in this role, you will have degree qualifications in social planning, town planning,
recreation planning, asset management, architecture, public policy or a related field.
You will have demonstrated experience in community planning and infrastructure planning, including
providing advice and recommendations to local government planning and development. In addition,
you will also have:
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to coach, empower and develop teams to achieve
exceptional outcomes.
- Project management and program coordination experience, including experience in preparing
Project Initiation Briefs, business cases, and grant applications.
- Experience in planning and managing community infrastructure assets, including community
centres, sporting facilities, cultural facilities, public buildings and amenities.
- Experience in strategic development of community and recreation infrastructure and
associated social services.
- Experience in asset management systems and knowledge in asset lifecycle management
principles.
Benefits:
This is a full-time, temporary 12-month opportunity, working a 35-hour week, with a base salary
range of $135,845 - $150,788 per year + 12% super + $15,000 Motor Vehicle Allowance. A 3.5% Civil
Liability Allowance is also afforded to eligible candidates.
