Be part of a team that drives excellence in governance at The Hills Shire Council. We are seeking a highly motivated and community-oriented individual to join our Community Services Team as a Community Development Officer – Youth, Children and Families. The successful candidate will facilitate community development activities for the community services team in accordance with the department of family and community services funding deed within the broad parameters of the Community and Family Support program.

What does this role look like:
• Develop and implement projects to deliver youth and community sector development as per the Program Level Agreement with the Department of Family and Community Services with a focus on vulnerable children, young people, families and communities
• Develop and maintain effective partnerships with local community service providers and government agencies
• Provide technical advice to project officers on specific activities associated with projects to ensure consistent quality in the delivery of engagement at an operational level
• Manage and deliver the Hills Youth Army program
• Manage and implement Council’s Youth Ambassador program
What are we seeking in our new team members:
• Degree or Diploma in Community Services
• 5 years’ experience in a similar or related role
• Drivers Licence (Class C) - NSW
• Working with Children Check
• First Aid
