Who are we looking for?
We're on the lookout for a dynamic IT Asset Management SME who is not just passionate about optimising IT assets but also dedicated to making a real difference in the community.
You'll be the go-to person for developing and maintaining an IT asset management strategy that aligns perfectly with our mission. From procurement to disposal, you'll oversee the entire IT asset lifecycle, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Your extensive experience in IT asset management, along with a proven track record of implementing effective strategies will be key.
You'll bring a wealth of knowledge in IT asset lifecycle management, software licensing, and IT risk management and your analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills will help us drive our initiatives forward.
But it's not just about the technical skills, you'll also need to be a people person, collaborating with various stakeholders, providing training and guidance to staff and communicating effectively about IT asset management performance and risks.
Your ability to work independently and as part of a team, combined with your leadership skills will be crucial.

What can you expect to be doing?
In this role, you'll be at the heart of our IT operations, ensuring our assets are managed efficiently and effectively.
You'll implement and refine processes for asset identification, tracking, and inventory management, keeping our IT resources clearly in view.
Regular reviews and updates of the strategy and framework will be crucial to adapt to evolving business needs and technological advancements.
Your strategic planning will ensure that our IT assets are managed efficiently, supporting AnglicareSA’s mission of supporting South Australians in need.
You'll be responsible for managing asset maintenance, upgrades, and replacements, ensuring that all assets perform optimally and cost-efficiently throughout their lifecycle.
Compliance will be key, as you'll ensure adherence to software licensing agreements and regulatory requirements. Generating reports and analysing data to spot trends and opportunities for improvement will be part of your daily routine and regular audits and assessments will help you identify and mitigate risks maintaining a secure IT environment.
What do you need to bring?
- Tertiary Qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (highly desirable).
- Proven experience in IT asset management, with expertise in developing and implementing strategies and processes.
- Strong knowledge of IT asset lifecycle management, software licensing, and IT risk management.
- Proficiency in data analysis and experience with IT asset management tools and technologies.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Industry certifications such as ITIL or IAITAM are highly desirable.
