An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced and professional Executive Assistant to join a highly regarded Federal Government agency in Adelaide. Commencing on 1 July, this full-time role supports a National Manager and contributes to key national programs and regulatory outcomes.
About the role:
HOBAN Recruitment is seeking an organised and proactive Executive Assistant at the APS Level 4 classification to deliver high-level administrative support to senior executives within a Commonwealth Government agency. This position plays a critical role in ensuring operational efficiency and supporting broader business line functions.
Key responsibilities:
Prepare and coordinate confidential and general communications, including board papers, secretariat agendas, minutes, and correspondence.
Conduct research and draft reports, briefs, and correspondence under general direction.
Manage diaries, monitor emails, and respond to a broad range of internal and external enquiries.
Coordinate meetings, teleconferences, venues, and national travel and accommodation arrangements.
Maintain efficient document and file management systems.
Provide administrative support for divisional events, programs, and initiatives.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, internal policies, and governance frameworks.
Promote and model the APS Values, Code of Conduct, and work health and safety obligations.
About you:
Demonstrated experience in an Executive Assistant or senior administration role, preferably within the Australian Public Service or similar regulated environment.
Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion and sound judgement.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to various audiences.
High-level organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
Skilled in using Microsoft Office applications and digital collaboration tools.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive internal and external relationships.
Understanding of legislative frameworks, governance, and risk management in the public sector (desirable).
Must be an Australian Citizen.
Must hold, or be willing to obtain, a Baseline Security Clearance.
