A leading company in the civil construction industry is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer/Project Engineer to join their team. This role is based in South Australia, and is open exclusively to Australian permanent residents or citizens.
Your new role
The Site Engineer will work on civil road projects, overseeing site activities and coordination, ensuring projects are completed within budgets, safety, and quality guidelines.
Reporting to the South Australian Regional Manager, the Site Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day-to-day activities on site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget and in compliance with safety and quality standards. You will work in a close-knit team, with the Regional Manager and Supervisor, to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise construction activities on site.
- Monitor work progress, ensuring projects are on schedule and within budget.
- Maintain the highest standards of safety and quality control.
- Assist in preparing reports, documentation, and project plans.
- Liaise with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or delays on site.
- Ensure all site work complies with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with design and planning teams to meet project specifications.
- Provide technical support to site teams, ensuring work is carried out according to plans and specifications.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or equivalent).
- 3–5 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar role.
- Have excellent family values, respect and the desire to join that sort of environment.
- Experience within the civil construction industry, with an understanding of construction projects, work activities, and resources.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
