About the Team
The Customer Transformation Team is a program of work that has been established to transform the way the Customer business operates. The challenge for this newly formed team is to ensure our delivery is purposeful & sustainable in the short term and drives a competitive value proposition for our customers in the long term. About the Role
As part of the Customer business, the purpose of the Strategic Training Lead role is to design and guide a multi-year learning and knowledge management strategy to support a complex transformation, ensuring learning solutions are aligned with business goals, future skill needs, and the successful embedding of a new operating model. Other aspects of the role include:
- Lead the development of a training strategy that supports the organisation’s transformation goals and future skill needs
- Evaluate current learning platforms and tools, and design future-ready solutions to support long-term capability building
- Create and implement phased training plans aligned with transformation milestones and business objectives
- Oversee the design and delivery of tailored learning solutions for a wide range of stakeholders
- Partner with internal experts and external vendors to deliver scalable, innovative, and relevant training
- Define and track KPIs to measure training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
- Ensure learning programs address future technology and skills needs, keeping them adaptable and sustainable
- Manage the full learning lifecycle—from needs analysis and planning to delivery, evaluation, and refinement
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the learning and knowledge management team, as well as key partners across the transformation program.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in strategic training, learning & development, or organisational transformation, with a proven ability to guide large-scale training initiatives. Other things we’re keen on include:
- Extensive experience designing and leading training strategies for complex, multi-year transformations involving cross-functional teams and multiple workstreams
- Proven track record in co-developing and implementing knowledge management strategies and frameworks
- Strong background in change management and learning systems design, including LMS and knowledge-sharing platforms
- Well-versed in emerging learning technologies and modern instructional design practices
- Strategic thinker with a clear vision for aligning learning and knowledge management with long-term transformation goals
- Collaborative and solutions-focused, committed to designing practical, high-impact learning experiences
