As part of the Risk Office, this team leads the design and implementation of strong, effective frameworks for Enterprise Risk, Market & Commercial Risk, and Regulatory Compliance and Assurance. Aligned with Group Risk best practices (CLP), our work ensures that risk is well-managed and compliance is built into everything we do—enabling EnergyAustralia to operate with confidence, integrity, and resilience.
About the Role (6 Month FTC)
As a Compliance Risk Analyst, you'll support key risk and compliance functions, helping to plan activities, manage enterprise-level governance documentation, and coordinate the operations of our risk and compliance committees. As the secretariat for these governance forums, you'll be responsible for preparing agendas, distributing meeting materials, capturing accurate minutes, and ensuring follow-up on key actions.
You'll collaborate with stakeholders across the business, playing a central role in keeping our risk and compliance processes running smoothly. - Co-ordinate the monthly risk activity planning through the Business Plan on a Page process, ensuring tracking of previous commitments and effective forward planning.
- Establish and administrate the enterprise level governance documentation such as group level policies and procedures, maintaining the governance documentation framework, ongoing monitoring and notification to document owners, enterprise-wide communications of published documentation
- Coordinate preparation of materials for the various risk and compliance governance committees at Business Unit, Executive and Board levels.
- Support the effective communications of risk and compliance activities with key stakeholders.
- Contribution to the enhancement of risk management culture and capability within the EnergyAustralia Group Participate in the CLP Group Risk network.
- Quality assurance review of reporting and papers.
- Research in support of risk and compliance activities in support of the Risk Team activities.
How can you support the Clean Energy Transition
To be successful in this position, you will ideally ave the following:
- Tertiary qualification in Commercial, Legal, Engineering or another relevant degree (minimum).
- Well-developed communications skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to influence and engage a diverse range of stakeholders in a variety of business issues.
- Sound general knowledge of risk, compliance, and assurance activities.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining an appreciation of innovations in the risk management area.
