Join Sydney Water as a Probity Specialist and play a vital role in upholding the integrity of our organisation. You will be instrumental in managing probity risks and ensuring robust governance across our procurement and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Probity Manager, you will provide expert probity risk management and advisory services across the corporation, with a strong focus on procurement. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing and constructively challenging high-value procurement strategies and business cases to ensure alignment with probity principles and corporate risk appetite
- Identifying and mitigating probity risks through strategic advice and effective control measures
- Monitoring tender processes and offering real-time probity guidance throughout procurement activities
- Supporting the Probity Manager in maintaining the Delegations Manual and enhancing procurement capability across the organisation
- Preparing high-quality reports and briefings for Board Committees and Executive Leadership on probity-related matters
Skills and Experience
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in probity, finance, procurement, or business analysis
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior executives
- Strong analytical and governance skills, particularly in procurement contexts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to respectfully challenge proposals
- Experience in risk assessment and financial analysis
