About the role: Program Architect – Customer Transformation (24 month contract)
Reporting into the Enterprise Domain Architect - Customer, the Program Architect will serve as a strategic technology leader within the Customer Transformation Program & will be instrumental in driving the architectural vision and ensuring technology decisions directly support the program’s objectives and the organisation’s strategy. Responsibilities include:
- Define and own the end-to-end program architecture, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture principles and the strategic objectives of the Customer Transformation
- Develops blueprints and roadmaps that can be used by all teams to guide the solution decisions that they make
- Establish architecture governance processes, including design assurance, standards adherence, and technical risk management
- Drive decision-making on technology platforms, integration patterns, and data architecture, ensuring they support long-term sustainability
- Engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders across the transformation, ensuring architectural decisions are well understood, aligned to program outcomes
- Engage external vendors and partners to ensure their solutions align with the program’s architectural standards, integration requirements, and delivery timelines
About You:
You’re a strategic Architect with a passion for leading and solutioning large complex programs. You’re equally comfortable diving into technical detail or presenting to executives, always focused on delivering value through smart, scalable design. You will have most of the following experience:
- Significant demonstrated experience at a senior enterprise architecture level in transformation programs. Said experience within an Energy/Utility company will be looked upon favourably
- Significant experience with customer solutions in the Retail operations (e.g. Billing, credit & collections etc.) generation solutions, and corporate (HR, Finance, Procurement) systems domains
- Proven experience designing and implementing microservices-based architectures, with a preference for those built on AWS cloud environments
- Strong understanding of integration architectures, including native integration, API gateways, and event-based designs using platforms such as Kafka
- Strong knowledge of data integration and migration strategies, including data mapping, transformation, validation, and reconciliation across complex systems
- Excellent presentation development and delivery skills at all levels including Senior Executive level
- Nice to have: Experience in delivering customer-facing digital solutions, including web portals, mobile apps, and self-service ‘My Account-type platforms
