Your Position:
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily waste and cleansing operations across the Burwood LGA, leading a team to deliver timely and high-quality services, including the emptying of public litter bins and the collection of household clean-ups and illegally dumped waste.
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:-
- Operating a heavy rigid rear-load waste collection vehicle
- Leading your team members on-the-ground to deliver waste management services
- Assisting with preparation of daily work schedules and staff oversight
- Completing daily WHS procedures and Safe Work Method Statements
- Conducting pre-start checks on all plant and reporting all vehicle and plant problems when required
To be successful in this role you will have:-
- Class HR or HC Drivers Licence
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Experience driving a heavy rigid waste collection vehicle including rear-load collection vehicle
- Experience leading a waste team
- Ability using technology to carry out daily tasks
- Availability to work out of hours and on weekends as required
Key Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination for all employees (2 Vaccines)
- Willingness to complete a National Police History Check (Where applicable)
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment (Where applicable)
