Your Position:
We are seeking
proactive and community-minded Parking Officers to join our team. In this
frontline role, you will issue parking fines, help maintain traffic flow,
promote safe parking practices, and ensure fair and consistent enforcement of
parking regulations across the Burwood LGA.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Patrolling designated areas to
enforce parking rules and issue infringement notices in line with NSW
legislation
- Promoting safe and responsible
parking practices across the community
- Maintaining accurate and detailed
field notes and records of observations and actions
- Reporting safety hazards, abandoned
vehicles, dumped rubbish, or other breaches observed during patrols
- Assisting in the preparation of
legal documents and appearing in court as required
- Representing Council with
professionalism and courtesy while interacting with the public
- Supporting community education and
awareness around safe parking behaviour
To be successful in this role you will have:-
- A current NSW Class C Driver's Licence
- Knowledge of NSW Road Rules, particularly parking regulations
- Ability to work independently and also cohesively within a team
- Strong communications skills and attention to detail
- A professional and respectful approach when engaging with the public
- Flexibility to work a 38-hour week on a rotating roster including Saturdays
- Weekend overtime available and 9-day fortnight working arrangements to be confirmed shortly
Key Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination for all employees (minimum of 2 Vaccines)
- Willingness to complete a National Police History Check
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment
