We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Project Engineer to provide exceptional strategic and operational leadership, direction, development, mentoring and support for the Civil/Capital Projects within waste and landfill services. This role is responsible for:
- Coordinating the development, implementation and delivery of the civil and capital programmes
- Overseeing the planning and execution of construction projects, including landfill cell construction and the installation of new infrastructure.
- Preparing contract documentation and technical specifications; assessing and evaluating tender/quotation submissions
- Act as a technical lead for landfill operations, focusing on efficiency, and leading improvement projects for infrastructure like gas and leachate systems.
- Ensuring compliance with work health and safety requirements in construction projects
A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering and Project Management is essential for this role, as is demonstrated knowledge and experience in project/contract management of civil infrastructure or construction projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar design software is essential, with demonstrated experience in preparing detailed civil engineering drawings and models. You should also have highly developed leadership and team building skills, with the ability to build positive team cultures, be passionate about safety in the workplace and be able to manage a range of stakeholders to through the project journey.
You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with highly developed financial management abilities. You’ll be adept at prioritising your own workload and coordinating the work of others to ensure all tasks are completed within agreed timeframes.
We are offering a salary of $125,80 – $136,093 per annum (dependent on skills and experience), and:
- 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
