The Opportunity
We are looking for Food Services Assistants to join our team at Rathgar Lodge. This is an excellent opportunity to join a large, supportive team with shift availability across both weekdays and weekends.
You will bring your experience in hospitality, customer service and safe food preparation and handling to support the smooth and efficient operation of catering services within the facility. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, assisting with meal preparation, and supporting the serving and delivery of meals to residents in a timely and respectful manner.
We are seeking individuals who are committed to delivering a high standard of quality care and who take pride in providing and maintaining excellent food services for residents, enhancing their daily comfort and wellbeing.
Shift rosters available include:
Morning shifts: 7 am – 3 pm
Afternoon shifts: 3 pm – 7 pm
What you will bring to the role:
- Food handler basic training (Food Authority) or equivalent
- Experience in preparation, serving and delivery of fresh meals
- Experience in table service and clearing duties
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen or bulk food preparation environment (desirable)
- Knowledge and experience working in compliance with Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
- Experience in an aged care environment (desirable)
- Current First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated and reliable team player
- Availability to work a variety of shifts across different days
