About the Role
The role assists in delivering an efficient, welcoming, and customer‑focused branch library service. This includes supporting day‑to‑day library operations, providing assistance to customers of all ages, and contributing to a positive library environment. A key focus of the role is supporting the planning, delivery, and promotion of engaging children's and youth programs and activities that encourage literacy, learning, and community participation. This includes:
- Work as part of the Branch team to provide a high standard of customer service and a safe working environment
- Complete all Circulation duties and undertake an equal share of tasks
- Assist in preparing, conducting and promoting library activities
- Assist clients with:
- Information enquiries, referring complex enquiries appropriately
- Public access technology and equipment
- Access to Council services and facilities

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- HSC or equivalent
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Library experience
- Experience working with children and children's activities within a library framework.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
