- Salary: $37 - $42 gross ph plus 12% Super (inclusive of 25% casual loading)

- Hour will vary as per a roster and may work between the hours of 6:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Sunday

About the Role
This role is responsible for carrying out weed and pest control activities across Council‑controlled land to protect public amenity, environmental values and biosecurity. The position involves applying pesticides and horticultural products, using a range of weed control techniques, and maintaining accurate records in line with legislative requirements. The role also supports Council's compliance obligations through inspections, monitoring and reporting of scheduled weeds across public spaces. The main duties of this role include:
- Spraying of pesticides and horticultural products at Council-controlled sites such as parks, sportsgrounds, recycling, waste depots, roadsides and natural areas.
- Ensure that weed control and vegetation management practices are conducted in accordance with the Pesticides Act 1999 (NSW) and Council's policies and procedures.
- Ensure that spray equipment is maintained in a serviceable manner that ensures operator safety and efficient operation.
- Keep accurate records of inspections and spraying operations.
- Handle and apply chemicals in a safe manner in accordance with legislation and industry standards.
- Enter data into Council's systems.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Current AQF3 Chemical user accreditation or ability to obtain.
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Current Construction White Card or ability to obtain.
- Proof of right to work in Australia
