Perm Part Time 21 hours, 3 days/week (Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) $85,411.10 to $93,588.83 + super (pro rata).

Liverpool City Council is therefore seeking the right candidate to join Council's influential and vibrant Children's Services Team. Reporting to the Manager Children's Services and working closely with the Community Development and Planning Team, you will be responsible for assisting in:
- Developing strategic delivery plans for the delivery of Family and Children Services for the Liverpool area.
- Providing support, advice and consultancy to early childhood professionals working with children within the Liverpool area.
- Research, develop and design information on current industry practises, new developments in the profession and current research to educate the sector
- Active involvement in local and NSW Childhood forums and networks
- The development of partnerships with new and existing family and children support services in the Liverpool area.
- Planning and delivering social infrastructure and services, inclusive of playgroups and, transition to schools programs.
The role involves preparing reports and funding submissions, maintaining required records in line with NSW Department of Education guidelines, developing sector resources based on current industry practices and research, and actively participating in local and state early childhood networks.
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Early Childhood Education/Teaching or in Social Sciences
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Minimum three years' experience working with Children and Families
- Working in collaboration with a range of stakeholders
- Experience in developing programs in response to identified community priorities
- Experience in working with the community services and/or Families and Children sector
- Experience in the development of strategic and operational plans, policies and reports
- Experience in the successful development of innovative projects within the Families and Children sector
- Experience taking a professional and ethical approach to all aspects of work
