JOB DESCRIPTION
Lead and manage Council's resource recovery services, circular economy initiatives and the operations of the Circular Economy Centre. This role is responsible for:
- business development and revenue generation identified and implemented.
- driving sustainable waste solutions
- effective customer relationships developed and maintained with new and existing clients, while fostering productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- recycling and resource recovery outcomes
- contribute to strategic planning, financial management and the continuous improvement of Council's environmental services
ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced leader with a background in resource recovery, business development, construction, industrial or environmental services, supported by tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent industry experience. You hold a current Class C Driver's License and White Card and have a strong understanding of relevant environmental legislation, local government operations, national construction code and sustainability principles.
You have proven experience developing and delivering resource recovery initiatives, business development, managing complex projects and contracts, leading multidisciplinary teams, and overseeing budgets and service delivery. With excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, you can build strong community and industry partnerships, analyse operational performance, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining a strong focus on WHS, risk management, ethical practice and inclusion.

The salary (within the above-mentioned range) will be dependent upon the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant.
