JOB DETAILS: 2 X Permanent Full Time 35 hours, 5 days/week (Mon to Sun bandwidth) $63,772.08 to $69,640.27 + 12% super
JOB DESCRIPTION
Liverpool Council's Library and Museum Services operate six libraries, including the award winning Yellamundie Library and Gallery. Our libraries are visited by 1000's of people each day as a place to work, play and study.
The Library Assistant supports and delivers best-practice programs and supports the planning, development and delivery of customer focused activities to meet the needs across key focus areas of children, youth and adults in the Liverpool community.
Collaborate with library staff to plan, implement and evaluate programs, maintain service resources, support staff development and training, monitor program outcomes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Provide excellent customer service and operational support across the library network, including outreach activities, collection maintenance, and branch service delivery as required.
Performing other duties as required from time to time including resource allocation, collection maintenance and provision of direct customer support as required across the library network including night shift work and weekend work
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will have:
- Current Class C Driver's Licence.
- Completion of Library qualifications or working towards (Minimum Certificate III in Library and Information Services).
- This position is subject to a working with children check. Please provide your current working with children check verification number.
- Experience working in a public library and a customer service environment.
- Ability to implement promotional activities for Adult, Youth & Children's Programs.
- Demonstrated ability to participate as an effective team member.
- Proven experience in the facilitation and provision of quality Adult, Youth &/or Children's Programs.
