About the Role
The Community infrastructure Planner role is an integral part of Council's Technical Services department, reporting to the Community Infrastructure Planning Manager. Key roles and responsibilities of the role include:
- Coordinate scoping and project planning for community infrastructure projects from inception.
- Provide oversight and support to project managers during detailed design and construction phases, through to completion.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, strategies, and project briefs related to the provision of community infrastructure to improve population health and quality of life outcomes in Shoalhaven.
- Engage and communicate with a broad range of project stakeholders.
- Prepare plans of management for Crown land under Council's management and control.
- Provide development assessment advise to development assessment managers for development applications pertaining to community infrastructure throughout Shoalhaven.
- Review and prepare submissions to government agency initiatives, policies, or bills.
- Participate in, or lead, technical project meetings and project control group meetings.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Completion, near completion, or commencement of qualifications in a field such as recreation planning, sports management, regional planning, urban or town planning, urban design, landscape architecture, placemaking, or related fields (please see job description for more information).
- Ability to interpret and exercise duties in accordance with the Local Government Act 1993 and other relevant legislation.
- Class C Driver's Licence.
- Proof of right to work in Australia.
This is a grade range position, therefore in accordance with qualifications, accreditation, experience and demonstrated skills, the prospective employee will be assessed as either Grade 9, 10 or 11.
Grade 9 - $82,529 - $96,073 gross p.a. plus 12% Super
Grade 10 - $91,148 - $104,698 gross p.a. plus 12% Super
Grade 11 - $99,775 - $113,318 gross p.a. plus 12% Super
The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
