About the Role
Lead the Customer and Community Resources Team at Nowra Library, overseeing daily operations and the effective use of public spaces to deliver a high-quality library service. This role provides leadership, supervision and support to customer service staff, while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, Council policies and procedures, and maintaining a strong focus on risk management and continuous service improvement. This includes:
- Support Nowra Library staff across the use of public spaces, customer service and readers advisory to deliver a high quality library service.
- Manage the effective and efficient operation of the Nowra Library Branch including rostering, lending services, building maintenance, safety and appearance.
- Ensures that all written and verbal communication provided is correct, factual, timely, customer-focused and in accordance with the relevant legislative requirements and Council procedures.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications as recognised by the Australian Library and Information Association or equivalent experience
- Class C Driver's License or equivalent
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
- Working with Children Check
We are looking for a customer focused leader with strong communication and organisational skills who can motivate and support a team in delivering exceptional library services. The ideal candidate will be proactive, collaborative, and committed to providing positive experiences for both staff and the community.
