We're looking for multiple Senior Mobile App Developers to join our Digital Member Experience team and play a key role in shaping how our members engage with Teachers Health every day. What will you do?
- Design, build and maintain high-quality native iOS and Android applications that enhance the member experience.
- Lead technical and architectural decisions for mobile solutions, balancing scalability, performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Engineering teams to deliver seamless, user-centric mobile experiences.
- Develop clean, well-tested and reliable code using modern mobile development practices.
- Manage app releases, app store submissions and platform compliance requirements.
- Partner with backend engineers to design and integrate APIs that support mobile functionality.
- Implement secure data handling, authentication solutions, offline capabilities and performance optimisation strategies.
- Champion quality through code reviews, automated testing, documentation and continuous improvement practices.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture.
- Stay up to date with emerging mobile technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team.
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of professional mobile development experience with strong native iOS and/or Android expertise.
- Proficiency in Swift and/or Kotlin, with strong knowledge of mobile ecosystems, development tools and app store processes.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable mobile architectures and production-grade applications.
- Strong understanding of mobile testing frameworks such as XCTest, Espresso or similar.
- Experience working within cross-functional product teams and collaborating closely with designers and product managers.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience mentoring developers and contributing to engineering best practices.
- A relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience across both iOS and Android platforms is highly regarded.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and mobile DevOps practices is highly regarded.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), inclusive design principles and analytics tools such as GA4.
