The Opportunity
Bracken House Hostel in our Western Region (a 74-bed facility), provides exceptional care and services to senior members of the community.
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Facility Manager to join our team and manage this successful service. Experience in Aged Care is preferred along with recent management experience.
In fulfilling the role, it is essential that you have:
- Current AHPRA registration and willingness to obtain a National Police Check
- Commitment to Quality Improvement and Aged Care Accreditation standards
- 3-5 years clinical experience in aged care
- Knowledge of Aged Care Act, best practice documentation
- Demonstrated experience in mentoring & supervising a multi-disciplinary team of staff
- Knowledge of best practice documentation and relevant Commonwealth aged care funding instruments
- Flexibility in days of work including working weekends.
- A strong passion and commitment in the delivery of Aged Care Services
- A deep empathy and general care for aged care residents
- Previous experience as an Aged Care Facility Manager is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Tertiary qualifications in a related area viewed favourably

Pre-employment screening
The successful candidate is required to have completed/have a willingness to undertake the following:-
- Vaccinated in accordance with UPA’s Immunisation and Vaccination Policy. (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza)

- Pre-Employment Medical Assessment
