Financial Planning Analyst, you'll play a key role in shaping financial performance across Unitywater by delivering meaningful reporting, forecasting and analysis that supports informed decision-making.
Partnering closely with leaders and stakeholders across the business, you'll help uncover the drivers behind financial results, identify opportunities for improvement and contribute to planning for the future. In this role, you'll:
- Deliver trusted financial insights and reporting, providing accurate budgets, forecasts and analysis that support business performance and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organisation, helping leaders understand financial drivers, opportunities and risks to make informed decisions.
- Drive continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, reporting and forecasting capabilities.
- Provide meaningful analysis and performance commentary, translating complex financial information into clear and actionable insights.
- Support strong financial governance and planning, ensuring reporting, budgeting and forecasting activities are delivered accurately and on time.

Must have
- Relevant qualifications in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline, with CA/CPA qualification (or working towards).
- Experience delivering financial analysis, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting that supports business decision-making.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial and operational data and translate insights into meaningful recommendations.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes within reporting timeframes.
- Experience using financial systems, ERP platforms and Microsoft Excel to analyse data and produce management reporting.
Nice to have
- Experience in a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), management accounting or business partnering environment.
- Experience supporting operating and capital expenditure budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Exposure to financial modelling, costing methodologies or business case development.
- Experience identifying and implementing process, system or reporting improvements.
- Experience working within a complex, operational or infrastructure-focused organisation.
