Job Advertisement — Marketing Specialist
The Opportunity
Mid-Western Regional Council is seeking a motivated
Marketing Specialist to join our Economic Development team to help promote and
grow Council’s business assets, including our caravan parks, Mudgee Team
Training Village, saleyards, and airport.
This full-time role will see you take the lead in
developing and delivering strategic marketing plans, creating engaging content,
managing digital campaigns, and driving the profitability of Council’s
commercial businesses through effective brand management and marketing
execution.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing or a
related field, or a minimum of 5 years’ industry experience
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Developing and delivering marketing plans
across a range of brands
- Creating engaging content for social
media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
- Managing website content and implementing
SEO strategies
- Paid social and digital media campaigns,
including Google Ads
- Reporting on Return on Investment (ROI)
using tools like Google Analytics
- Excellent organisational skills, with the
ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Outstanding communication skills, with the
ability to engage diverse stakeholders
- Current Class C driver’s licence and
National Police Check clearance (obtained prior to appointment)
- Knowledge of WHS responsibilities and a
commitment to safety
Highly desirable:
- Experience in marketing caravan parks or
hotels
- Knowledge of local government operations
