Join Us as a Business Continuity Specialist – Drive Resilience in a Dynamic Environment
Are you a proactive problem-solver with a passion for keeping businesses running through uncertainty? We are looking for a flexible and agile Business Continuity Specialist to contribute to the evolution of our Business Continuity Management (BCM) program. In this pivotal role, you'll shape and refine continuity solutions, align them with crisis and IT recovery processes, and empower teams across the organisation to respond confidently to disruption. From impact assessments and plan development to training, awareness, and operational reporting, you'll be at the heart of building a resilient, responsive business.
As the Business Continuity Specialist, you will:
- Maintain and improve BCM related governance documents adapting to organisational and business changes.
- Lead business impact analyses and risk assessment workshops to identify critical processes and develop strategies to respond to potential disruptions
- .
- Guide business units in creating and updating Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) that are clear, actionable, and accessible to stakeholders.
- Drive training and awareness to ensure staff understand their roles during disruptions and support crisis exercises.
- Contribute to operational reporting and support customer tenders by providing insights on the BCM program .
- Communicate complex topics with clarity and influence to various audiences, promoting BCM priorities and ensuring professional standards.
Qualifications
- Professional designation in business continuity management (ABCP, MBCP, CFCP, CBCI, or equivalent) or practical experience and a proven track record in a similar role.
Skills and experience
- Robust experience in Business Continuity Management in large, complex multinational environments, with strong practical knowledge of BCM frameworks and stakeholder education.
- Familiar with IT disaster recovery, and ideally, although not mandatory, with ISO standards and the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act.
- Experience in global and matrixed organisations; and infrastructure-heavy sectors like logistics, manufacturing, or retail, with national and international business practice awareness.
- A self-starter with creativity, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, changing environments with hands on approach in delivering activities that embed business continuity management.
- Able to simplify technical topics, engage stakeholders effectively, and present across formats.
- Curious, team-oriented, open to feedback, and capable of working independently or leading planning efforts.
