About the role:
Working in the Health, Safety, Security, Environment, Quality and Risk (HSSEQR) function of Toll G&D, the Security Officer is responsible for the delivery of personnel, physical and governance security functions in support within our Government & Defence business across some of our key contracts.
This includes the security and compliance requirements of the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership, Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and other regulatory and industry requirements as applicable.
Primary responsibilities:
Operationalising Toll G&D’s internal security policies and procedures
Overseeing compliance with contract operational, reporting and administrative security requirements
Conducting security briefings for security clearance holders, contractors, overseas travel, and offboarding personnel
Management and maintenance of AGSVA Security clearances for contract personnel
Supporting the ongoing management of Toll Remote Logistics (TRL’s) DISP membership
Maintaining security processes that allow core business to be conducted in line Toll Policies and Standards, industry best practice, the DSPF and PSPF
Contributing to the implementation, update and revision of security policies, procedures, and guidelines
Conducting scheduled assurance and training activities
Leading investigations into security incidents, including theft, loss, or breaches of Defence or Toll security procedures
Completing detailed security reports including incident reports and security registers, non-conformance records, and manage corrective actions
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance
A minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) Australian Government Security Clearance
Experience as a Defence Unit Security Officer, DISP Security Officer, or Agency Security Advisor in Defence, Defence Industry or Australian Government (desired)
Defence Security and Vetting Security - Security Officer Course (desired)
Certificate IV or Diploma in government security, or Certificate IV or Diploma Security Risk Management (desired)
ISO:9001 Quality Management Systems, Lead Auditor Certified or equivalent (desired)
High level of integrity and commitment to upholding Defence security and confidentiality
Resilient and adaptable in a dynamic and highly regulated environment
Results-driven with a focus on achieving operational excellence
