About the Role
Shoalhaven City Council is seeking two motivated Cadet Town Planners to join our team and grow their careers with us. Reporting directly to the Coordinator - Policy Planning Team or Senior Development Planner, the main roles and responsibilities of these positions include:
- Assist the Planning, Development & Environmental Services Group in carrying out their duties.
- Undertake projects and team tasks to contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Planning Environment & Development Group.
- Participate in the duty roster schedule for enquiries.
- Assist with phone calls, clerical work, public enquiries and research as required.
- Deal with correspondence, reports and applications, as directed, in a timely and accurate manner
- Assess (under supervision) appropriate development applications relative to experience and completion of study.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Eligibility to enrol in or partial completion of a tertiary course in Town Planning or related discipline providing eligibility for membership of the Planning Institute of Australia
- Commitment to a career in Town Planning
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Proof of right to work in Australia
