The Role
A rewarding opportunity has presented itself for a creative and driven individual to join our team as a Digital Media Producer.
In this role, you will be responsible for producing captivating videography, photography and podcast content for local businesses through Council’s digital service, Studioventure. You will collaborate closely with external local businesses, internal stakeholders and Councillors to deliver high-quality digital media content that enhances engagement, supports the city brand and meets agreed project objectives.
*This opportunity will be offered on a permanent full-time basis.
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Oversee the Studioventure booking system and provide end-to-end support for photography, videography and podcast requests
- Collaborate with external customers to deliver content within agreed scope, timelines and budgets
- Film and edit engaging video, photographic and podcast content for Councillors and city initiatives
- Manage the use, maintenance and storage of video, photographic and podcast equipment
- Work collaboratively with the City Marketing and Investment Unit to create compelling content for the city brand and digital platforms
- Monitor digital media trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities to increase engagement and profile opportunities across the city
- Provide monthly and quarterly updates on bookings and service delivery for inclusion in Senior Management reports
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide specialist digital media technical advice

You will have:
- Tertiary qualification in communications, video production training and/or similar relevant industry qualification/experience.
- C Class Drivers Licence
- Demonstrated experience in videography, photography and/or podcast production
- Minimum five years’ experience in operating video and photography equipment and the use of digital editing tools, including Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects.
- Experience in directing and compiling video and online content for websites and social media platforms.
- Proven ability to develop creative and engaging content for digital audiences.
- Demonstrated understanding of tailoring content across different digital platforms for target audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail, time management, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
The salary range for this opportunity starts at $104,465 + 12% super. Salary may be negotiable dependent on skills and experience
