The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a passionate and creative Recreational Activities Officer to join our team at Yeoval Hostel in the Western Region on a permanent part-time basis, including weekend availability.
In this rewarding role, you will enrich the lives of our residents through engaging lifestyle, wellbeing, social, and recreational programs that promote independence, connection, and happiness.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering engaging social, cultural, and recreational activities
- Supporting residents’ emotional wellbeing, independence, and quality of life
- Encouraging participation and meaningful connections within the community
- Monitoring and evaluating lifestyle programs to ensure they meet residents’ needs
- Building positive relationships with residents, families, and team members
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (essential)
- Previous experience in aged care or a similar environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and time management abilities
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, email, smart phones, and digital devices
- Understanding of Aged Care Standards, Resident Rights, and WHS principles
- Ability to work independently and problem solve effectively
- Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
