As an
Assistant Curator, you’ll help shape a vibrant and diverse cultural environment
across the Dubbo LGA, supporting engaging visual arts and heritage exhibitions,
programs and projects that connect with community. This is a hands‑on, varied

You'll find
growth through:
- Assisting the development and
presentation of programs in support of the Dubbo Regional Council Cultural
Strategic Plan
- Assist with the development and
creation of special marketing and audience development programs
- Develop and curate exhibitions
that are relevant to the needs of residents and visitors
- Develop and manage positive
working relationships with community and sector stakeholder
- Actively contributing to a
department building momentum into its next phase of development and
strategic planning
What
you'll bring
To thrive in
this role, you will need:
- Diploma in arts / history /
visual arts / museum studies or related discipline
- Thorough understanding of
computer applications (word, excel, Internet).
- Proven time management skills
and the ability to prioritise a large body of work and a variety of
activities in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge and application of
Australian art and/or history in the public museum context.
- Good communication skills, both
written and spoken, with proven ability to write correspondence and
reports and communicate effectively with stakeholders both internally and
externally.
- A growth mindset and enthusiasm
to bring forward new ideas
We would
also love you to have:
- Sound people skills and capacity
to supervise and monitor staff / volunteers.

position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $80,529 to $93,588.
