Coordinator Survey
The Opportunity
Maitland City Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Coordinator Survey to lead and coordinate Council's Survey team for a 12-month period, ensuring the effective delivery of operational and strategic survey services across a diverse range of projects. If you are a registered survey, then this is preferred, but it is not essential.
In this role, you will oversee the provision of high-quality survey services that support the design and delivery of key engineering and infrastructure projects across the region. Projects may include urban and rural roadworks, stormwater drainage, bridges, footpaths and cycleways, recreation and community facilities, traffic infrastructure, and minor building works.
If the successful candidate is a Registered Land Surveyor, you will also lead and oversee cadastral survey activities, including the preparation and supervision of surveys for land acquisitions, road widenings and survey mark recovery. This includes land identification, boundary definition and marking surveys to support Council's land management and development objectives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in Surveying (BOSSI recognised) coupled with at least 5 years professional experience.
Ideally you will be registered with the Board of Surveying and Spatial Information as a Registered Land surveyor, with understanding and knowledge of the Surveying and Spatial Information Act 2002, the Surveying and Spatial Information Regulation 2017 & 2025 and the various Surveyor General's Directions.
You will also have experience in the below:
- Detail engineering surveying.
- Cadastral Surveying.
- Volumetric Surveys.
- Utility Location Surveys.
The ability to lead, coach and support staff in achieving their work targets and meeting operational and strategic targets is also essential.
Benefits
This is a 12-month temporary full-time role, working 35 hours per week, with a salary ranging $105,916 -$117,567 + motor vehicle allowance + 12% super. If you are a Registered, the salary range will increase to $118,909 - $131,989.
