The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking leader to join Maitland City Council's Senior Leadership Team as Executive Manager Community Experiences.
Reporting to the Director Strategy, Performance & Experience, you will lead and oversee Council's strategic and operational functions across events, place activation, economic development, and customer service.
In this influential leadership role, you will champion exceptional customer experiences across all Council service channels while driving initiatives that stimulate local economic growth, bring vibrancy to public spaces, and foster meaningful community participation in Council programs and initiatives. Through strategic leadership and collaboration, you will play a key role in shaping connected, thriving and engaged communities.

- Place Activation
- Visitor Economy
- Economic Development
- Civic and City Events
About You
To be successful in this opportunity, we are seeking a highly capable leader with tertiary qualifications in business, commerce, events, marketing, or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
You will bring substantial experience in delivering strategic initiatives that drive economic growth, activate places, and create positive community outcomes. You will also have a strong understanding of organisational capability, customer experience, and operational efficiency, with the ability to apply human-centered design principles to enhance Council services, programs, systems, and customer satisfaction.
Your demonstrated leadership capability will be complemented by your ability to engage, influence, and build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders. You will be skilled in driving high-quality outcomes while delivering on strategic priorities and organisational objectives.
