About the role
The City of Sydney Library provides a space for our vibrant communities to grow, learn, connect and create.
The nine branches offer a key front-line service in the community for local residents, students, visitors, tourists and workers.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, customer focussed and motivated Library Technician to join the City of Sydney library team.
As part of this dynamic team you will be responsible for:
- Delivering an exceptional customer experience to the community
- Supporting and contributing to the development of digital literacy, Readers advisory and other programs for our diverse communities
- Supporting Team leader and Librarian in daily operations and branch compliance
- Contributing to projects that support continuous improvement in collections, programming, and technology
The successful candidate will have experience in:
- Providing high quality customer service including to all members of the community
- Excellent digital literacy skills and experience with library collections
- Effective communication and diplomacy skills
- Experience in the delivery of digital literacy programs and projects or community engagement initiatives
Applicants must be willing and prepared to undertake work across any of the nine City branches as required.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.
