About the Opportunity
At PMHC, every employee plays a part in working together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. To help us achieve this, we are seeking a Sewer Operations Attendant to join our Utilities
Operations team.
In this role, you will undertake construction and
maintenance activities across Council's sewer and water networks, helping to
deliver essential services to our community. You will work both independently
and as part of a team, ensuring works are completed safely and to the required
standards.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- General
Induction White Card
- Current
HR Driver Licence or willing to obtain HR license prior to being appointed
- Ability
and willingness to participate in an after-hours on-call roster
- Understanding
of Work Health and Safety requirements
- Ability
to work safely with minimal supervision
- Strong
teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment
to providing excellent customer service
On a typical day, you will:
- Undertake
sewer and water construction and maintenance works
- Operate
and maintain plant, tools and equipment
- Assist
with traffic control and worksite safety
- Respond
to operational incidents and emergencies as required
- Identify
and report safety hazards
- Work
in accordance with WHS, environmental and Council requirements
- Interact
professionally with customers and the community
- Participate
in planned and unplanned overtime as required
- Participate
in the after-hours on-call roster
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment type: Permanent, full-time role (38 hours per
week with 9-day fortnight)
Salary (exclusive of 12% super): Starting salary of $1214.70
per week with the opportunity for competency-based progression up to $1359.63
per week.
Allowance: Adverse working level 1, on call and sewer choke
allowance
