The Opportunity
Lead the City’s digital future as Manager ICT Operations. In this influential leadership role, you will drive innovation, strengthen cybersecurity resilience and oversee critical technology services that support City operations and public safety. Working closely with Executive leaders and key stakeholders, you will shape technology strategy, lead a high-performing team and help deliver secure, future-focused digital services for the community.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, your responsibilities would primarily include:
- Provide strategic leadership for Service Desk/Desktop Support, ICT and OT infrastructure, aligning services with the City’s digital vision, cybersecurity resilience, and operational continuity;
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, service excellence, and continuous improvement;
- Lead strategic planning for ICT and OT infrastructure to ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and aligned to business needs; and
- Monitor system performance and usage trends to drive capacity planning, continuous improvement, and cost optimisation.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Proven experience leading ICT service delivery functions, including incident, change, problem and request management aligned with ITIL practices and service levels.
- Extensive leadership experience across ICT and OT environments, including cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise systems and operational technologies, with the ability to provide strategic advice and deliver secure, resilient services.
- Strong expertise in cybersecurity, compliance and service performance, including cyber risk mitigation, service optimisation and SLA management.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Cybersecurity or a related discipline, with a sound understanding of enterprise risk, digital transformation and technology strategy.
