About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and organised Senior Administration Officer to provide high‑quality secretarial and administrative support within our Technical Services Department at Council. This role is critical in coordinating administrative workflows, meeting deadlines, and delivering a high standard of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
The main duties of this role includes:
- Provide efficient and effective secretarial and administrative support to the Technical Services Department including:
- Reception functions
- Responding to incoming calls and refer appropriately
- Support the Technical Services Team to ensure the maintenance of high standards of customer service to internal/ external customers
- Effectively coordinate the administrative workflows in Technical Services to achieve deadlines and meet customer expectations including
- Incoming and outgoing correspondence tracking
- Arrange meetings/ appointments/ events developing agendas, minute taking and provision of required resources
- Develop purchase orders and invoices
- Research and analyse information as requested by the Technical Services Department to ensure the provision of accurate information for meetings, decision making and responding to specific enquiries in a timely manner.
- Supervise administrative staff as required

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Certificate IV in Office Administration/Secretarial Studies or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability in project/event coordination
- Class C Driver's Licence
- Proof of right to work in Australia
- Extensive experience in providing secretarial and administrative support to a large team.
- Extensive experience in coordinating the administrative workflows of a large team to support the achievement of deadlines and a high standard of customer service.
- Demonstrated experience providing administrative support to senior management
