About the role:
The Senior Manager Contracts and Commercial is responsible for the effective management of commercial and contractual obligations for our customer.
This role ensures the Toll meets all contract obligations, the performance management framework, drives commercial performance, mitigates risk, and maintains compliance with Toll and the customer’s procurement frameworks, as well as Toll’s internal processes and procedures, and is critical in supporting operational success, financial performance, and strategic relationships.
Primary responsibilities:
- Support key stakeholders with all aspects of contract and commercial obligations for the customer include all facets of contract lifecycle management such as interpreting contractual terms and conditions, lead/support pricing indexation, extensions, variations, audits and negotiations
- Responsibility for the P&L and balance sheet for the contract including customer invoicing, P&L oversight, forecasting and budget management, and financial reporting
- Onboarding and ongoing monitoring of all suppliers / subcontractors ensuring all subcontractor agreements reflect prime contract requirements and appropriate terms flow-down and Implementing processes and controls to ensure cost capture
- Oversight of the Performance Management Framework and reporting requirements ensuring contractual compliance through identifying and managing all contractual and commercial risks, and by implementing mitigation strategies and escalation processes as needed
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Significant experience gained in senior commercial or contract management roles for a complex network supply chain or logistics network
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, Commerce, or Contract Management
- Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for (and maintain) an Australian AGSVA Security Clearance
- Strong commercial acumen, contract interpretation, negotiation, and commercial risk assessment skills
- High-level communication and stakeholder management
- Proficiency with contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data driven decisions
