About the Role
Join our Shoalhaven Water team as a Truck Driver and participate in hands-on, high-impact work that helps power essential services across our region. Based out of our South Nowra depot, you'll be behind the wheel of well-maintained vehicles and operating cranes to support the construction and maintenance of vital water and wastewater infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Major Construction Supervisor, the primary focus of this role is to:
- Operate trucks and mounted cranes crane for the work teams carrying out the construction/maintenance of water mains, sewer mains, pump stations and water and wastewater treatment plants
- Perform labouring duties and operating plant equipment e.g. backhoe, excavator and forklift
- Organising, loading, and delivering material from truck, including operation of crane and slinging loads.
- Assist with confined space duties
- Maintain accurate records and logs
- Liaise with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth operations

Being available to be on-call and complete reasonable overtime is a requirement of this position.
About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Class HC Drivers Licence. (If HR licensed only, then must obtain HC within 3 months)
- Dangerous Goods Drivers Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Truck Mounted Crane Operator Certificate of Competence equivalent to Class C2 WorkCover Certificate (Note: certification must allow the operation of the crane and rigging loads).
- High Risk Forklift Ticket (or willingness to obtain)
- Backhoe Ticket (Ticket LB/LL or equivalent) (or willingness to obtain)
- Excavator Ticket (Ticket LB/LL or equivalent) (or willingness to obtain)
- Hazardous Goods and Workplace Substances Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Class B Non-Friable Asbestos Removal (or willingness to obtain)
- Dogman Ticket (or willingness to obtain)
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience in truck driving and crane operations with a solid understanding of traffic control, plant equipment and WHS procedures
