An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Trainer and Assessor to join our Fleet & Workshop Team to deliver a variety of tasks associated with the induction and refreshers of the use of Council’s vehicles, plant and equipment. What this role looks like:
• Develop & deliver inductions, refreshers, safe use assessments to individuals and/or groups (i.e. new starters, following an incident, change in legislation etc).
• Maintain, update and improve documentation
• Arrange for external supplier (subject matter expert) inductions, refreshers when required.
• Coordinate inspection and audit programs for Council’s fleet assets
• Monitor the effectiveness of the CoR Procedure and Guidelines in operation and recommend any changes necessary to ensure compliance with CoR legislation and Council’s Policies.
• Complete inductions for NHVR requirements for all new Heavy vehicle drivers and arranging external supplier for annual refresher training required by NHVR
• Facility Location - Gibbon Road, Winston Hills
What are we seeking in our new team member:
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or willingness to obtain
• Current HR or HC driver’s licence (HC Preferred) or willingness to obtain
• Holds a current High Risk Forklift Licence
• Knowledge of machinery and tools.
• White Card – General Construction Induction
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks & work autonomously and as part of a team
