Are you ready to take the next step in your career? We are looking for a motivated person to lead one of our Civil Trades Teams. You will assist in managing a team working on a variety of activities across Council’s civil infrastructure. What this role looks like:
• This role leads a team involved with a broad variety of tasks associated with the maintenance and operation of Council’s Civil Infrastructure. This includes trade related tasks such as painting, signage installation and maintenance, street and park furniture installation/repair/replacement, playgrounds, metal and steel fabrication, minor concreting and paving works, fencing, bridge maintenance, drainage repairs, maintenance and construction of retaining structures and other civil trade related duties.
• Allocation of resources to the team to carry out tasks associated with the maintenance, repair, replacement or upgrade of Council’s Civil Infrastructure.
• Supervise the day-to-day management of the team and associated work tasks, ensuring works are completed to standard and within designated timeframes
• Drive and operate plant and equipment
What we are seeking in our new team member:
1. Construction or Building Trade qualification
2. Extensive experience in civil maintenance and construction
3. Demonstrated experience in the supervision and coordination of staff
4. White Card – General Construction Induction
5. NSW Drivers Licence (Class MR)
