Talent Acquisition Assistant
About the Role
Maitland City Council is seeking a vibrant and proactive Talent Acquisition Assistant to support our Talent Acquisition function and the wider Human Resources team.
In this role, you will provide administrative support to Council's end‑to‑end recruitment process, with a strong focus on delivering an exceptional customer experience for both candidates and internal stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and posting job advertisements
- Organising and scheduling interview panels
- Conducting pre‑employment checks
- Coordinating employee onboarding and hosting Council's staff induction
- Data integrity management within Councils applicant tracking system and employee management software
You will also provide high quality administrative support across the broader Human Resources directorate, collaborating closely with team members to ensure efficient and effective operations.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring a proactive and energetic approach, supported by a Certificate III in Business Administration or a related discipline, and/or demonstrated experience within recruitment.
You will have a strong understanding of recruitment processes gained from a similar position, where you provided high‑level administrative support to a busy talent or HR team.
You will also excel in customer service and communication, showing a genuine commitment to delivering a positive and professional experience for all internal and external stakeholders.

This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week with a salary ranging from $66,927 - $74,289 + 12% super. Council also offers a range of benefits for its employees including:
