About the Role
This role manages the day‑to‑day administration and coordination of events, street stalls, and film and photography applications on Council‑owned or managed land. It provides guidance to event organisers to support successful delivery, ensuring all approvals are obtained and activities comply with relevant legislation and Council policies. This includes:
- Provide a central point of contact for event organisers; coordinate the event permit and licence approval process; and provide advice on legal compliance, insurance and Development Application requirements (including any requirements from other authorities) for events on public reserves and facilities.
- Attend and, where appropriate, organise event meetings to provide advice on commercial and community events, including pre-event meetings and post-event debriefs to assess ongoing event needs and support future success. Coordinate and assist with event planning as required.
- Represent Council by supporting community events through meetings, liaison and stakeholder engagement, and provide event support as required.

About You
To be successful in the position, you will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Administration and / or equivalent experience
- Tertiary qualification in Event Planning and / or equivalent experience
- Class C Driver's License.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
The ideal candidate is organised, customer‑focused, and confident coordinating multiple activities, with strong communication skills and the ability to guide stakeholders through approval processes and compliance requirements.
