The Opportunity:
Due to Maitland City Council's commitment to ongoing asset management maturity, our team is experiencing significant growth with a number of new opportunities available!
Our Community Asset Engineers play a key role in the strategic planning and long-term management of Council's community and recreation assets. Working across a diverse asset portfolio including buildings, public open spaces, recreation facilitates, cemeteries and aquatic centres you will develop and maintain service asset management plans.
You will contribute to Council's Capital Works Program through the development of Project Initiation Briefs for Community and Recreational Capital Works projects and will provide technical advice to support the long-term management of Council's assets.
A key function of your role will include maintaining asset data registers, supporting asset valuations and revaluations and providing professional advice to help ensure Council's community assets continue to meet service levels and the needs of our growing community.
About you:
To be successful within this role, you will have Degree qualifications in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
You will have demonstrated experience in asset data management, including maintaining asset registers and contributing to asset management strategies, lifecycle planning and the long-term management of infrastructure assets.
In addition to the above you will have strong communication skills, demonstrated experience in planning and scheduling systems and an ability to interpret and prepare reports.
Benefits:
This is a full-time, permanent role working a 35-hour week, with a base salary range of $110,152- $122,269 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 12% super.
