We have three
Animal Care Attendant positions available. They are:
- 1 x permanent part-time; 56 hours per fortnight
- 1 x temporary part-time; 56 hours per fortnight
- 1 x temporary part-time (job-share); 28 hours per fortnight
Candidates will be considered for all positions (unless stated in their application) and offered on a merit-based, best-fit basis.
The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring high standards of animal wellbeing are maintained for all animals in their care and for ensuring high standards of customer service regarding animal related matters. Duties include assisting customers, cleaning, feeding and exercising animals, transporting animals and keeping records.
We seek an individual with experience in animal handling, is competent in animal handling, has strong customer service skills, works effectively in a team and is emotionally resilient. Relevant qualifications include animal care-related units (Certificate II/III Animal Care, Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing, or other equivalent) with a driver’s licence.
This position will be required to work every second weekend / public holidays when rostered.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $65,523 (pro-rata) gross per annum
+ adverse working conditions allowance of $1,035 per annum
+ 12% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
