This important role in the Environmental Compliance Service will build upon existing skills and knowledge across a range of functional areas in the investigation of reports of unlawful activity on private properties throughout the Local Government Area.
Council’s Compliance and Enforcement Policy will guide you in the application of legislation administered by Council including but not limited to the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act, Protection of the Environment Operations Act and the Local Government Act.
- Relevant qualification or equivalent demonstrated competencies gained through on-the-job learning
- Australian drivers licence
- Ability to work from the Blue Mountains local government area for the majority of the work week. Some flexibility options will also be available.
- The ability to balance field work, office work, relationship management and reporting.
This is a full-time position with the successful candidate having the option of enjoying an RDO every 2 weeks.
A leaseback vehicle is available with this position. It is not a condition of employment.
Remuneration: base salary commencing at $103,977 gross per annum
+ 12% superannuation
+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary
+ annual award increase
