Human Resources Officer
About the role
Maitland City Council is seeking a Human Resources Officer to support our most valuable asset - our people.
In this role, you'll work within the HR Operations team, playing a key role in delivering high quality, generalist HR services across the organisation. You'll support a range of activities, including employee relations matters, people management initiatives, and impactful projects that enhance the employee experience.
As a trusted first point of contact, you'll provide timely, accurate, and practical guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and processes, helping to create a positive and supportive workplace. You'll also contribute to the smooth running of HR operations by providing essential administrative support, managing HR systems and employee records, and assisting with the delivery of reporting and compliance requirements.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will hold a Diploma in Human Resources or possess an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
You will bring generalist HR experience, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Your well-developed interpersonal and communication skills will be key to your success, enabling you to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and deliver best practice Human Resources solutions.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week, with an annual salary ranging from $77,484 - $86,007 + 12% super. Council also offers a range of benefits for its employees including:
