Human Resources Advisor
About the role
Maitland City Council is seeking a Human Resources Advisor to support our most valuable asset - our people!
In this role, you will partner with the organisation to provide timely and practical operational advice to facilitate effective people processes and generalist HR service delivery, and manage employee relations matters including performance management, grievances, and investigations, offering practical, balanced advice that drives best-practice outcomes. You'll build strong, trusted relationships with leaders, employees, and union representatives, providing guidance that supports both people and organisational success.
Beyond this, you will contribute to a range of people related projects and initiatives that enhance our workplace culture and strengthen Maitland City Council's reputation as an employer of choice.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will hold degree qualifications in Human Resources Management or possess an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training.
You will bring strong generalist HR experience, with demonstrated capability in providing industrial relations advice and partnering with leaders to deliver best-practice people solutions.
Your well-developed interpersonal and communication skills will be key to your success, enabling you to build effective relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and influence positive outcomes.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role, working 35 hours per week with a salary ranging from $91,165 - $101,193 + 12% super. Council also offers a range of benefits for its employees including:
